You will need a valid data collector credential to login to the appropriate website to download and install WASABI.  If you do not have a valid data collector credential or a valid website to login to, please do not hesitate to submit a ticket.  Each region has a different URL for you to login to.

Downloading WASABI

1. Login to appropriate URL

  1. Americas - data.us.efoqa.com
  2. Europe (North) - data.eu.efoqa.com
  3. Europe (West) - data.euwest.efoqa.com
  4. Middle East - data.mec.efoqa.com
  5. East Asia - data.asia.efoqa.com
  6. Oceania (Australia East) - data.au.efoqa.com
  7. China - data.aviationdatainsight.cn

2. Click on WASABI (Data Collection) in the left hand menu:

3. Click 'Download Installer':

4. When the application completes its download, move on to the next section.  If you are unable to download the installer, please consult with your IT organization as this file is an executable and may require elevated permissions on your machine.

Installing WASABI

1. Run the installer application "exe" file downloaded from the efoqa.com website.  Often you can double click the executable.

2. On the first page, please read the term and subsequently click "Next >"

3. On the second page, you will be able to select which components you would like to install.  Generally speaking, the default options will be sufficient for you to transmit a data collection.  You'll find information on each of the components below.

Checked Default Options:

  • Start Menu Shortcuts: You may include a shortcut on your Windows start menu.

  • Start Menu Admin Mode Shortcut: You may include a shortcut on your Windows start menu to run WASABI in your computer's administration mode.

  • Start WASABI at Login/Boot: Each time you turn your machine on, WASABI will be started as a program.

  • Quick Launch Icon (Shows up in your toolbar on the desktop under XP)

Unchecked Default Option:

  • Install WASABI as a Service: Generally speaking, this option should not be selected for a single computer installation. The option allows WASABI to keep running after a user logoff. This option is most commonly checked when WASABI is being installed on a server to enable automatic data transfer from a centralized location.

4. On the third page, you'll choose where you'd like to install WASABI.  Again, the default option is recommended

5. Click "Install".

Note:  Microsoft .NET 4.0 Framework may be installed if needed. You may need to reboot the machine to complete the installation of .NET.  If this applies to your installation, you'll need to start again from Step 1 in this procedure.

6. When WASABI is installed, click "Finish".

When prompted, enter the data collector credential you used in Downloading WASABI - Step 1.
